How do I press a vinyl record?

The process of pressing a vinyl record for you consists of a few simple steps. Read them below. For more details, contact us at +48 730 145 728 or email at office@polvinyl.pl.

Below are the basic steps.

1. Determine the material time

It is critical to decide how much material you want to record. This indicator, as a rule, is about 24 minutes per side for a 12-inch vinyl record and 6.30 minutes for a 7-inch record at 33 rpm.

2. Request a quote

Once completed, the form will allow you to submit your inquiry. Once received, we will contact you to discuss your inquiry and offer the best vinyl pressing option.

Once you accept the offer, proceed to place an order. If you accept our price offer, confirm it by email at office@polvinyl.pl and place an order. Then we will confirm the order's acceptance and the probable pressing date on your record.

3. Make a deposit

We require a 30% deposit when placing the order, and the rest of the payment before starting to press your record.

4. Prepare your audio

Especially if you are starting from a digital source instead of a master tape, it is worth having your audio professionally mastered for vinyl. We can work with almost any source, but you will always get a better result with professional preparation.

5. Prepare the graphics

Properly prepared graphics yield the best results, just like audio.

6. Upload files

You can send audio files to our email: office@polvinyl.pl.

Before uploading, please make sure to compress all files into a ZIP/.RAR folder. You can forward digital files via WeTransfer or Dropbox (in a .ZIP or .RAR folder) or via your own FTP site.

7. TEST PRESS Approval

During the order fulfillment process, you will receive items from us for approval—test presses and graphic samples. Try to send approvals or comments within 2 business days of receiving them.

After approving the TP and graphic, we will create all the required components to begin processing your record.

8. Record vinyl delivery

Make sure that all shipping information is correct at the latest before the vinyl pressing begins.

One of the logistics companies will handle shipping regardless of the recipient's location.
